[ts-7000] TS7250..Serial Port

Hi to every one

I am trying to read /write from com2 of the ts7250
i used the example program given in the HOWTO Document in canonical 
input mode

i have loged in through the port com1 (ttyAM0)
and want to use the ttyAM1 for my use
when i compiled and excuted the program it is not responding in the 
am1 port. but the same program is responding and working in the am1 
port (com2 in TS7250) when i login through the com2 port and if i 
execute after login prompt it works as per the program
thesame is the case when i changed the program for com1 (ttyAM0 also)

i have enabled/disabled the login by coomenting the getty lines in 
etc/inittab.

Any one who could help me in zero in the problem
