Yes/no.

Yes they will level convert like you want, no they won't directly plug 
in.  Either way you're going to need to pull out a iron so why pay $27 
for a cable, chip, ect when you can get a MAX232 or similar for $1.50 
and cut up some old serial cable.  It's not going to be that much more 
soldering and it's a lot cheaper.
