what happens if you attempt to run udhcpc from the console, any errors in your 
syslog?


you could try the following:

  - check that the af_packet module is loaded

  - check that you have a default script /usr/share/udhcpc/default.script

  - check for missing libraries (/lib/resolv.so? off the top of my head)
