One thing comes to mind:

I can't recall at the moment if the TS boards have USB2.0, but most
webcams are usb1.1, so don't use the ehci(?) driver.  (Sorry, I'm away
from my embedded platform that uses webcams at the moment, and I may
get the modules mixed up.)  What you want to do is use only USB1.1,
and not use the 2.0 driver.  That may help, or it may not.

If you are using a USB2.0 hub with a webcam, and trying to run at 2.0
speeds, this will fail.  Use USB1.1 only with webcams...

If you visit the linux-usb list, I had an exchange with Alan Stern on
this where he explained it much better that I can....
