Hi,
I sometimes experience a problem on TS-7200 and TS-7250 with kernel
2.4.26-ts11: USB devices initialization hangs the system during kernel boot.
SYMPTOMS: the kernel hangs during boot without any message, when one or
more usb devices are plugged into the host. This problem does not
appears every time, but it's quite often.
HOW TO REPRODUCE IT: I have discovered that there are two methods to
easly reproduce it (otherwise is quite difficult): plug-in one or more
USB devices and mount the root fs via NFS, or plug-in an USB hub with
two or more devices plugged in.
I have enabled kernel debug messages, but it hasn't been helpful. I have
tried boot the kernel with several configurations, but none of them had
any success. I have discovered that there is an "old" (2004) NetBSD
ep93xx-patch that seems fix this bug... but I haven't found nothing
similar for Linux.
Have you ever experienced a problem like this?
Do you have any idea and/or suggestion?
Thanks,
Marco Pracucci
