After much dwelling on this problem, we determined that it was not the board's fault. The other device was working with 8-O-1 instead of 8-N-1, and therefore we were experimenting framing errors (hence the lost characters). It looks like characters with framing errors were silently discarded. This is the first time I see 8-O-1 in my life, so it caught me off guard. The OP-2TTLCOM option cannot handle parity when data is 8 bits, so we had to switch to COM2 and use a MAX3232 for level conversion. Guille --- In "Michael Schmidt" <> wrote: > |
