I am running a TS-7300 with the 2.4.26-ts10 kernel. I am attempting
to run an application that uses multicasting to receive packets from
the eth0 port. When I send a multicast packet from the board I'm able
to receive it only by having the IP_MULTICAST_LOOP option set (by
default). The packet is received by other computers, but if it's sent
by other computers it is received by everyone except for the TS-7300.
I have set a route instance:
route add -net 224.0.0.0 netmask 240.0.0.0 dev eth0
and when I run a multicast ping
ping 224.0.0.1
I receive a ping response from the board. I am going to get
crosstools running on my development system and try compiling a 2.6
kernel. If anyone has a 2.4 fix or knows of any problems I'll run
into when running 2.6, they'd be greatly appreciated.
