Howdy all,

Are there any userland drivers for USB webcams? I know, for example, that
scanner support has moved out of the kernel (well, mostly) and now programs
like xsane use libusb. However, does the same apply for webcams?

The reason I ask is that I'm not sure if I want to recompile the kernel on my
ts-7260 just to get support for my QuickCam, that is if there is a way to use
libusb instead. Or, maybe another camera type would be supported without a
kernel recompile?

Thanks for any info -

Mike
