I wrote some code, and it appears to work, but with glitches, such that
some times, the new count I read is actually less than the previous
count, and, it appears to not count all pulses. I had an external
source set to EXACTLY 100 Hz, and expected to get 200 Hz since the xdio
counter counts both falling and rising edges, but got consistantly
lower. I just got an email from a person at TS saying I should try
compiling with the opttion: -mcpu=arm9 Well, I am attaching the code that I wrote, but never got a confirmation from TS if is is correct. It is to set up the xdio to count an external source. I am not sure when I will be able to test again since we are in the middle of Easter vacation here in Mexico (2 weeks), and I do not have a signal generator here at my house. One of the electrical guys is going to put together a simple circuit for me to count at one or two frequencies for testing. I am planning on using the free running timer so I can measure the time between counter readings more accurately, and thus be able to calculate a frequency (speed of train) as accurately as possible. Let me know if you want that code as well. Good luck, Don. On 4/14/06, rx7vt <> wrote:
