I just had a friend take a look at it, and he tried
setting the HyperTerm settings to 2 stop bits instead of 1. This solved the
problem. Anyone else had this experience?

I've no idea about Windows apps, 'cos I use linux for my desktop (and I'll give my usual advice - if you plan on doing things with linux on the ts7xxx series, then run a linux desktop - the knowledge you gain will pay dividends) Serial details should be speed 115,200 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit. I set no-flow control, and I set my terminal software (ckermit, there's a version for windows) to ignore the DCD/DSR signals. Jim YAHOO! GROUPS LINKS
