No the correct inetd.conf line is as I quoted.
webcache stream tcp nowait root /usr/bin/webserv.sh webserv.sh
The /usr/bin/webserv.sh is the program to execute, and all the words
afterwards make up the parameters passed to the program (the first
parameter being the name of the program).
man inetd.conf explains (or google if your desktop runs xinetd)
In fact on my desktop I have this line.....
www stream tcp nowait nobody /usr/sbin/tcpd
/usr/local/bin/webserv.hg
tcpd is run to check whether the connection sdhould be accepted or not,
and the connection detasils are syslog'ed, which then runs the program
given as the first parameter - and yes I run an adapted version of this
script as a real webserver on the internet. I'd recommend porting tcpd
and use it to protect services on any ts7200 connected to the internet.
(gogole for tcpwrappers)
