Millions of embedded s/w developers have been bit-banging I2C on the GPIO
pins of micros for many, many years. It's a piece of cake and I'm sure Mr
Google will provide you with more hits (and sample code) than you'll need
in your lifetime. Also check out Application Notes from vendors like
Atmel, Philips, Microchip, etc. that descibe the protocol (if you can call
it that) and how to implement it on their devices.
I'm unsure of what you mean about I2C changing between 2.4 and 2.6. Are
you referring to the Linux Kernel?

Greetings,
Does some of you experienced the use of the I2C bus ? I2C has changed a
lot between 2.4 and 2.6
I think it should be possible to use 2 DIO and use software I2C.
Comments are welcome :)
Matthieu
