Hello,

I have a TS7200 with no options..
I figured out that the pld must be reprogrammed to enable a MAX197
chip.I have found this by diging in the sources of netbsd.
Am I wrong ?

Is the MAX197 option on the TS7200 wired for reading 8 bit or 12 ?
Because on the schematics the HBEN pin is NC. "This pin when it is low
the lower 8 bits are read and when it is high the upper MSBs are
available" according to MAX197 data sheet...

Thinking of the cost to ship back and forth my TS7200 for
reprogramming + the expenses of the MAX197 option, I am starting to
thinking for a TS9700 board.

What are the catches I should think of ??

what other options are locked in the pld ?
In the sources I saw the adc and the rs485 options that are locked...

Can the TS7200 pc104 take other brands interfaces ?
maybe in the future I will need something else to add like an RTC..

Regards
Christos
