I'm assuming you've already probably already read this post

first. Then you might want to take a look at the pivot_root man page 
http://www.die.net/doc/linux/man/man2/pivot_root.2.html to understand what 
the command does and how to use it. Finally there is an example of how to 
pivot_root on the sash-plus page
