Hi Again Scott,

Do you think the TS-7250 kernel should work on a TS-7200? The hardware
seems to be quite different...

I loaded the kernel:

RedBoot> load -r -b 0x00218000 -h 192.168.0.4 /root/vmlinux
Using default protocol (TFTP)
Raw file loaded 0x00218000-0x0035bfff, assumed entry at 0x00218000
RedBoot>

Then, I flashed the kernel

RedBoot> fis create vmlinux
... Erase from 0x60e60000-0x60fc0000: ...........
... Program from 0x00218000-0x0035c000 at 0x60e60000: ...........
... Erase from 0x60fe0000-0x61000000: .
... Program from 0x01fe0000-0x02000000 at 0x60fe0000: .
RedBoot>

now, to check the fis directory:
RedBoot> fis list
Name FLASH addr Mem addr Length Entry point
(reserved) 0x60000000 0x60000000 0x00E20000 0x00000000
RedBoot 0x60E20000 0x60E20000 0x00040000 0x00000000
vmlinux 0x60E60000 0x00218000 0x00160000 0x00218000
RedBoot config 0x60FC0000 0x60FC0000 0x00001000 0x00000000
FIS directory 0x60FE0000 0x60FE0000 0x00020000 0x00000000
RedBoot>

everythink seems ok, but when I try to load the kernel, I got garbage:
(it's not the file system, because I got the same garbage trying to
boot from the /dev/hda1, /dev/mtdblock1 and nfs root....

RedBoot> fis load vmlinux
RedBoot> exec -c "console=ttyAM0,115200 root=/dev/mtdblock1"
Using base address 0x00218000 and length 0x00144000
$T050f:0cc32100;0d:50a70300;#79

By any chance do you have a TS-7200 kernel ?

Regards,
Sergio.
