I have gotten it to work by downloading linux-wlan-ng-0.2.2 and
extracting it. I performed

cd linux-wlan-ng-0.2.2/src/wlanctl/
make

this will give you wlanctl which is to be used to configure wlan0.

to get the wlan.conf file installed just

cd linux-wlan-ng-0.2.2/etc/wlan/
make install

I configure wlan0 i followed the instruction on this web page
http://software.newsforge.com/article.pl?sid=05/01/18/170211

You must use wlanctl instead of wlanctl-ng. Although I didn't
recompile the drivers for prism2_usb successfully I could compile the
tools to use with the existing prism2_usb driver which came with the
ts-7250
