I am working with TS to provide one, News to follow quickly.

and webcam to the USB ports in the TS-7200...

One issue I am running into is USB bandwidth. One camera isn't that
much of a problem, two or more is occasionally an issue. Since we only
need images every one to five minutes, but we may need as many as five
cameras per ts-7200, one work around we are looking at is "turning a
camera on" polling the data, analizing it for motion, turn it off,
write the image to a NFS volume for posting. Open the next camera,
etc. (If any one has a better idea, or a reason why this won't work,
I'm interested.)

and I can remotely form the internet see what the camera sees... so I
don't have to keep a copy of the imagery I am just viewing the real
time video...

Do you need real real time vidio, streaming 29.97 fps (Frames per
second)? That will be a bandwidth hog.

I am searching for a webcam that has Linux driver and works fine with
ts-7200...

Go to the Video for Linux page (http://www.exploits.org/v4l/) and find
one there. I am using Logitech cameras because I like the image
quality, like the potential ability to move the camera through
software, and they gave them to us! (www.marssociety.com,
engineering.marssociety.com, http://freemars.org/mdrscam/ Yes, it IS
way cool, and Yes, we are looking for volunteers if someone wants to
help. Yes, I will be describing how we intend to use the TS-7200 iin
another post.)

and about the programming; I can't use the shelf software because I
have to write my own

Can you use the libs? Perhaps look at the source of several and make
your own? For what little coding we are doing on this, we are using C.

See above.

My suggestion? Read the post a few days-week ago about a schematic to
control a relay. This will be the same problem electrically, and there
are several examples of source code in the archives.

I also note that there is a Java for Linux project, you should Google
that.
