If anybody is in San Francisco at the LinuxWorld expo this week, make sure
you check out the Technologic Systems NetBSD toaster we designed last week
at the NetBSD booth. The TS-7200 mounted inside the toaster uses GPIO to
control the various toaster parts including the 800 watt burner element
about a half inch from the TS-7200! In case anybody is curious, through
empirical tests, it seems most TS-7200s stop working at about 90 degC which
is impressive since its 20 degrees more than the parts are rated for.
