Actually (I was loading into a local modules directory) , there
doesn't appear to be a directory.

Right now I am "playing" in that I have NFSed the cross compile
directory from the TS-7200 and am using the development package on it
to compile the kernel. As you can tell, this is taking ...quite a while.

I think the next thing I will play with is a NFS connect from my
desktop machine running Knoppix. Just to see how that goes.

I will revisit your solution in short order and respond.
