Hi all,

I recently updated my OpenSuSE 12.1 to 12.2. In the previous version I
loaded the pwc module with the fps=5 parameter. In 12.2 this results in an
error message:

FATAL: Error inserting pwc
(/lib/modules/3.4.11-2.16-desktop/kernel/drivers/media/video/pwc/pwc.ko):
Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

>From dmesg:
[21293.343632] pwc: Unknown parameter `fps'

Modinfo shows me:

depends: videodev,videobuf2-core,videobuf2-vmalloc
intree: Y
vermagic: 3.4.11-2.16-desktop SMP preempt mod_unload modversions
parm: power_save:Turn power saving for new cameras on or off (int)
parm: leds:LED on,off time in milliseconds (array of int)

So indeed parm fps seems 'missing' as well as size and only power_save and
leds are implemented.

Anyone seen this and perhaps has an idea if this is a compile issue and if
I can get these parameters back by rebuilding the kernel modules?

The cameras in use are Philips SPC900's. OpenSuSE 12.2 64 bit as the OS.

Richard
