Short version:
I'm only getting 5 FPS from my webcam on a 1.5 Ghz CPU running Linux - is this
the expected performance, or am I doing something wrong?
Details:
it's a Philips spc880nc, claimed to be identical to the SPC900NC.
OK. I have now taken delivery, and followed the info (mainly via star gazer's
lounge) to make it into a SPC900NC.
My Linux box (Ubuntu) can see the camera, and wxAstroCapture is running.
I think I have a data-rate problem "somewhere", since when I run at 640x480 I
can only get a preview image at 5 FPS. If I set the rate any higher, I get no preview.
