since i don't know much about c coding, i'll just ask: 

wouldn't it be possible to change the driver in a manner, that it keeps
the value for agc, that was set by a certain programm beforehand, so
that another programs could use the camera with the same agc setting?

it is very unlikely that all programms i use (mplayer, ffmpeg,
pd/gem/gridflow) will ever support this pwc specific settings, which in
return means, that these settings just cannot be used.

just to know, if that would be feasible, would help me a lot. then i
probably could ask some c coder to do it for me.
