Hi folks!!!

..please help me on this, I'm very lost on this...

I can't load the pwc module on my old P3 notebook (fedora core 5):
- First I remove the broken pwc driver included with fedora core 5
- I install the kernel source and the kernel-devel RPMs
- I fix some broken symlinks ("build" and "source" folders)
- I compile the pwc 12-rc1 driver (I use the same version on my new inspiron
6400 + also FC5 new notebook without any problem). The compilation work perfect.
- Then "make install", and "depmod -a" also work perfect and without any error
messages.

...but, whe I do a "modprobe pwc" I get:
FATAL: Error inserting pwc
(/lib/modules/2.6.15-1.2054_FC5/kernel/drivers/usb/media/pwc.ko): Invalid
module format
...
...If I check "dmesg", I see this:
pwc: disagrees about version of symbol struct_module

- I also check for a old "index=1" on my /etc/modprobe.conf", but is not there
and dmesg don't claim about that.

So, I don't know what else can I check, please help me with this, I have the
same pwc version in other fedora core 5 system (core duo with FC5 smp kernel),
and all work perfect..son, I don't understend.

Ideas??, tips??, links??

in advance, thank you very much.

Mauricio, from Chili
