Hi,

I'm using two cheap webcams (Logitech Quick Cam Pro 4000's) to make a stereo
rig. They both work at the same time; sadly it appears their CCD's are
different so I'll have to do manual color correction.

Anyway, for stereo, I need to capture the images in sync. I realize this is
probably impossible with cheap webcams, but I thought I would ask the experts.
As it stands now, with two sequential calls to cvGetFrame, I can visually see
the cameras are not in sync. Thus my question:

Can I sync the capture of two webcams? I.e., even if they are not delivered at
the same time over the USB bus, they were captured by both cameras within some
very small time window.

When I'm done I plan on releasing a simple OpenCV extension to handle cheap
stereo setups (i.e. easy camera calibration, color correction, etc).

Thanks in advance,
Keir
