Hello,

I've just find Luc's web site and read the documentation provided.
I read the recent archives too, but now, I'm lost.
I downloaded the latest version of the driver, and followed the instructions
given on Luc's and Kenneth's web sites.

First I downloaded the latest kernel source, then rebuilt it.
Once done, I downloaded the latest pwc source module, and followed the
instructions.
Now, the /var/log/messages contains the following lines, so it seems ok,

Dec 29 11:25:31 celtes2 kernel: pwc Philips webcam module version
10.0.9-unofficial loaded.
Dec 29 11:25:31 celtes2 kernel: pwc Supports Philips PCA645/646,
PCVC675/680/690, PCVC720[40]/730/740/750 & PCVC830/840.
Dec 29 11:25:31 celtes2 kernel: pwc Also supports the Askey VC010, various
Logitech Quickcams, Samsung MPC-C10 and MPC-C30,
Dec 29 11:25:31 celtes2 kernel: pwc the Creative WebCam 5 & Pro Ex, SOTEC
Afina Eye and Visionite VCS-UC300 and VCS-UM100.
Dec 29 11:25:31 celtes2 kernel: pwc Trace options: 0x00a1
Dec 29 11:25:31 celtes2 kernel: usbcore: registered new driver Philips
webcam

but the webcam is desesperated off. It is well plugged, but the cam is off
as the led is always off. (and it works fine under windows ;-( so this
doesn't come from it).
all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Francois
