Hello!
After some years of successfull usage of my Philips Webcam PCVC740K I
suddenly cannot access my Webcam via /dev/video0:
I get this messages:
Dec 3 00:56:20 server kernel: pwc type = 730
Dec 3 00:56:20 server kernel: pwc type = 730
Dec 3 00:56:20 server kernel: pwc set_video_mode(640x480 @ 5, palette 15).
Dec 3 00:56:20 server kernel: pwc decode_size = 5.
Dec 3 00:56:20 server kernel: pwc Using alternate setting 3.
Dec 3 00:56:20 server kernel: pwc isoc_init() submit_urb 0 failed with
error -38
Dec 3 00:56:20 server kernel: pwc isoc_init() submit_urb 1 failed with
error -38
Why type = 730? It should be 740.

Why "Sotec Afina Eye"? Until some weeks ago wehen I used the webcam for
the last time, it was detected as philips webcam...
Can anyone explain this strange behaviour?
I'm still using kernel 2.6.10 an did not change anything.
Thanks,
Michael
