Possible reason: SUSE 10 kernel comes with a broken pwc module, whereas the 9.3 kernel didn't. Make sure you overwrote that broken module in /lib/modules/2.6.13-15-default/kernel/drivers/usb/media/pwc In 9.3 I put my pwc module in a different location... I put it in that same location when I first installed 10.0, and it wouldn't work, because that made two pwc modules. And it always chose the broken one. Once I moved my good build of the module to overwrite the broken one in the dir above, it worked fine.
