Hello,
I hope my question won't be too much anoying...
I'm currently working on a sound installation which uses a camera to
detect the movements of a dancing person to create sounds. This is my
second installation of this kind. The first time I used a DV-camera with
the IEEE-1394 connector (using the dv1394 kernel module of Linux). But
the camera was not my own one, so I have to buy another camera (but a
cheaper one).
The advertisments of the PCVC840K are saying, that this camera could be
the one I want to have, because of its high frame rates (60 fps) and its
clear, grain-free images. But I read on your wiki, that the web cameras
of Philips won't reach the 60 fps because there is not enough bandwith
available to reach it.
Is this also true for the USB-2.0 based PCVC840K? And if not, would I
still need compression for higher resolutions (320x240 or 640x480) on
USB-2.0?
Thank you!
cu
