Hi,
I've been intrigued listening to my compost heap with a hydrophone. Word of
caution here. Important to be able, if possible to distuinguish between
what you hear going on in there. It can get get very noisy and unless
you're certain a sound is a worm or whatever, it is best to contrive
something predictable. For example I toss in an apple or something I know
the slugs will love. Then with the hydrophone in place at night-what a
concert.
I bought a JfZR contact mic but its not for the compost heap.
Martin.
