Hi Francesco,
There is a general code of conduct around cetaceans to prevent disturbing t=
he animals and can be found here...
http://www.seawatchfoundation.org.uk/marine-code-of-conduct/
You don't need to be very close to them to record them. Their noises travel=
quite a distance.
Hope it's helpful.
All the best.
Steve.

Subject: [Nature Recordists] Tips for recording Dolphins
Hello everyone
In the small town where I live, on the south-east coast of Sicily, in a mar=
ine reserve very close to the town, dolphins are often spotted.
I own a pair of Hydrophones Acquarian H2a and a friend could help me with h=
is small boat.
I know almost nothing about these beautiful mammals.
What is the right way to approach them?
What is the right time?
I know that there are two types, some migrate and some are sedentary.
Any kind of suggestion, books or any other information is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Best
Francesco
