There are still a couple of spaces available at the 34th Annual Nature Soun=
ds Society Field Workshop, to be held this coming weekend June 22 - June 24=
at San Francisco State University's Yuba Pass campus.
Our emphasis this year will be on fieldcraft. Dan Dugan, Steve Sergeant an=
d Greg Weddig, master recordists, sound engineers and sound designers all, =
will be collaboratively leading rigging and orientation sessions, the field=
sessions and the in-camp lecture and film session. Our goal is to give yo=
u intensive one-on-one assistance and feedback. Additionally, Dan and Greg=
will lead the microphone directivity workshop. We also hold the ever-popul=
ar Make-Your-Own-Windscreen workshop. These year we plan to incorporate a g=
roup feedback sessions where we play samples you have made in the field and=
discuss their dynamics.
If you are interested, please e-mail us at or by ph=
oning 1(415) 821-9776 and asking for Dan or Sharon. Apologies for cross-po=
sting ....
