Marco,

I think I pretty well described the gain curve of our Pro Mono Parabolic Mi=
crophone during this discussion, which was confirmed by an independent test=
lab. I suggest you read Sten Wahlstrom's paper. See figures 12, 13, and 14=
for examples of bass dip and note that the measured results were worse tha=
n calculated due to the interactions of the actual microphone. The curve of=
our Pro Mono would be very close to what is shown in figure 11. Figure 11 =
is calculated for a very deep dish with l/a=3D4, which would be a rather im=
practical shape to use for a larger dish. Our booster discs do a lot more t=
han just reduce bass dip and are part of a system to improve the performanc=
e of a parabolic microphone. For a sound comparison, you can view the video=
comparing multiple directional microphones here, https://youtu.be/Z83vgjZE=
Vks https://youtu.be/Z83vgjZEVks. It doesn't exactly compare the bass dip b=
ut does show other advantages of the booster disc system. Note, the All Pur=
pose Parabolic Kit is typ
ical of most parabolic microphones on the market.

Bruce, you claim that the booster disk can overcome the "bass dip" in the =
range of frequencies between 500 and 1000 hertz. Do you have any graphics a=
vailable that will show the difference using a parabola with and without a =
booster disk? It would be ideal if supported by an audio recording. So we c=
an understand how the disk affects the recording.
