These mics appear to be designed for "reach", but not flat response.Look at=
the patent and you will see the frequency plot which is all over the map.
I would also guess that the imaging compared to a "SASS" or a Jecklin array=
to be much different.These mics seem more suited to species survey and for=
use in large rooms where precise imaging is not important
I did not find any specs as to output level or self-noise.So, it is a big j=
ump ($$) to try these out.
I would love to hear a review (and recordings) of these used for the nature=
recording usually done in this group.Having some hard specs would be good,=
too.
