The blackbirds nearby our house at Seltjarnarnes, Iceland, start their concerts normally in ghe beginning of April. The noise from the trafic makes it difficult to recofd them during the rush-hours. On the night before May 9 2017 2 Sennheiser ME62 were left on the balcony with 39 cm interspace. This episode started around 03:12. A distant recording like this is in some way a little charming. As recordists know some sounds, not heard during the day, become audible at night. Ghe ventilation system of the nearby appartment hous is quite audible. The noise was reduced by cutting off 100 Hertz. http://hljod.blog.is/users/df/hljod/files/svartthrostur_0312.mp3 |
