I am back on the question I had about the MKH416 being a
comparison to the ME67. I went ahead and bought a 416 at a
fair price on eBay, and matched it in three tests vs. the
ME67. I was actually quite surprised at how much subtle
sound it picked up vs. the long shotgun, and how impervious
it seemed to be to handling in a Shock mount, again
relatively speaking. Here is a link to what my thinking was
and how I arrived at a very favorable conclusion vs. the
longer microphone. If you have interest, and in particular
any further comments, - I appreciate those that responded
earlier - I would really like to hear from you.
