Thanks - it's good to know about the ICD-SX2000 (and 1000)...

Definitely marketed as a high-end voice recorder, not to the "pro audio"
world - for instance there is no physical level control -

Also it looks like it's not distributed in the US, though I suppose it
could be ordered from asia or perhaps europe.

Those battery life and memory parameters would work OK for my typical use -
though I prefer AA batts and full-use memory slots.

Anyone have one?
The big questions:


   - How does it sound?
   - How does it compare to the PCM-M10, in terms of preamp quality and
   conversion?
   - How is battery life in the field?  (Such a strong suit of the M10... I
   just inadvertently left mine in sleep for three weeks, woke it up and was
   able to record.)
