Greetings Nature Recordists, I have been off-list for quite some time but was wondering if anyone had a = working Sony TCD-D10 mk I or II for sale for cheap or recommend a service t= echnician to get mine going again ASAP. My 'mk I' unit stops playing after = 3 seconds after letting it sit for several years. Just to get it to do that= I need to open tray, close after powering off/ on. May be just a caddy/ tr= ay alignment issue but I'm running out of time to mess with it. While I have a lot of other transferring of tapes to do, I'm in an immediat= e time crunch to transfer some recordings of my grandfather's stories ASAP = while my grandmother is around to hear them.
