Eric, I have an Soundfield SPS200. It's an interesting mic to use, but when recording a very quiet soundscape, I would reach for the Sennheiser MKH's. I've worked with the mic for over a year, and am still trying to get a handle on what works best. Working in the ambisonic realm in post also presents its challenges, but is really interesting. If you do decide to buy one, also consider pricing in the cost of Harpex-B. Best, Scott -- scott sherk www.thethirdbarn.org |
