I did a HPF and noise reduction to get a better listen and my vote is for
domestic dogs some distance away. It sounded like clear barking but of
course it could be feral dogs.

Mind you, dogs are domesticated wolves, but I have been told that barking i=
s
an infantile characteristic and infantilism and human dependence are part o=
f
the process of domestication. This came from a fascinating lecture I
attended which described the level of infantilism of various breeds. One
characteristic is "puppy flop ears" which is an early level shown in some
dog breeds.
