This recording is best enjoyed by using headphones. The annual Reykjavik Run was held on August 23. More than 1100 people participated in Marathon and Half-Marathon and over 8.000 in 10 km running. The event was recorded as has been done since 1998. The first sample started around 09:05 when the first runners had arrived. Due to the noise from cars the recording before is not worth listening. http://hljod.blog.is/users/df/hljod/files/marathon_og_halfmarathon.mp3 The second sample started around 10:00 when the first runners were approaching. Pay attention to how people tried to disturb the runners by driving, biking and walking against the stream. The runners pass by like a river of people. Recorded in an MS-Setup with R=F8de Nt-2A and NT-55. The recorder is as most often Nagra Ares BB+. Recorded infront of Tjarnarb=F3l 14 at Nesvegur, Seltjarnarnes. http://hljod.blog.is/users/df/hljod/files/10_km_hlaup.mp3 Arnthor Helgason |
