I recorded this paint-stripping screeching at the Tourist Club, just above Muir Woods. https://soundcloud.com/user7860487/ns140803-050211-muwo-tc-dawn1-2-owls-screeching Saw the owls but couldn't ID them, medium-sized. I think they are juvenile great horned owls. Locals call them screech owls. They went on much of the night, calling more often (like this) around dawn. Opinions? -Dan |
