Jerry,

Blackbird (Turdus merula) a large species of thrush.

The song is at the end of the spring song season and the second part of the=

call is more like the chatter you hear along with the alarm calls for much=

of the year. Instead of yelling at each other claiming territory they are
now sharing the bird table.

My other favourite songbird to the common songthrush (Turdus philomelos)
which has a rich repetitive and varied call at a slightly higher pitch.
