Recently I and my wife went to Western and North-western Iceland. Two
recording were made, the most interesting being nightsounds in the
summer, which will be released soon in 2 or 3 parts.
This summer has been warm and extremely weat in some parts of Iceland.
On July 5 it burst on with windy warm weather and the extremely heavy
rain on the Westfjords in Iceland. Some creeks turned into big and
aggressive rivers. On the farm of Skjaldf=F6nn the river, Sel=E1, destroyed=
a lot of facilities built during the past 60 years to protect the farmland.
Even the creek, just close to the farmhouse, burst into a noisy river.
When we came ther on July 11, it was still bulky and angry as can be
heard on this recording. Almost 3 hours of the creek were recorder but
in this podcast only 10 minutes must do.
Sennheiser ME-62 in an AB-setup were used and a Nagra Ares BB+.
Good headphones are recommended.
