...as far as i can tell: neither. i'm not sure, but i think that snowmobiles/ATVs aren't allowed, and as it's a national park, there's no logging. there are occasional planes flying overhead (almost inevitable), though they're very rare. the trans-canada highway also cuts through, but it's easy/simple to get away from it. i'm staying @ the banff centre (http://www.banffcentre.ca/) while i'm here, and it's a 10-minute hike to somewhere quiet.
