Hi Gerrit, Klas, and all members

It is nice to hear that such event sounds interesting, at least to some of
you. That would be great advantage if Klas would attend the meeting and
bring some Telinga equipement, so we could test in a field. As well as see
and compare each others toys ;)

Mid-may in Poland is ideal time for nature recording. There will be
thousands of birds singing their hearts away. Thrush nightingales, Golden
orioles, rarest species of warblers (including Aquatic warbler - a top
rarity), woodpeckers and owls - just to name a few. We may also visit a
Great snipes (Gallinago media) lek site to record their elusive,
unbelievably silent crackling song. As well as zillions of frogs and toads,
including little green Tree frogg (Hyla arborea). All of this far away from
noisy roads and cities...

My friend is working on our itinerary, he is professional birdguide, he
does nature recordings and also is a member of this group. If you look at
http://www.birdguide.pl/Info.php you will find there a period of time
pre-booked for us (May 17-23). The terms, conditions, our route, areas
visited, accommodations etc. will be roughly the same as desribed there.
The cost per person will be somewhere between EUR799-999, depending on the
size of the group. To keep the cost at this low level it has to be at least
8 attendants. So I am asking those who are willing to come to put your
names on a list as soon as possible as time is short.

I am eager to meet you here! Krystian
