Hi everyone, Although I have been recording bird song for several years, I am new to using parabolic reflectors. I recently was gifted a well-used Telinga Pro II setup and was curious for other's input and advice on attaching this XLR cable end to a 1/8" input on my Song PCM-M10 recorder. I have tried using the Hosa XLR female to 1/8" male cable (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41O2FwGLlcL.jpg), but found the flimsy construction produced bad signal noise. Can anyone suggest a better alternative? If any of you would like to hear some of my efforts using a Sennheiser ME66/K6 microphone with various recorders, please have a listen on Xeno-canto (http://xeno-canto.org/recordist.php?id=MCNTDLDTOO).
