This issue includes a feature article by Nicholas Green on the design of
a botanic garden sound installation project and a research report on a
Rome based soundscape perception study by Mario D'Andreta. WFAE member
news from around the world; plus new books, recordings, and other
resources are also included.




The News Quarterly is a supplement to WFAE's annual Soundscape: The
Journal of Acoustic Ecology. Its mission is to make available in a
timely manner, news, events, opportunities, and announcements from the
WFAE Board, WFAE Affiliates, and other sources of interest to those in
the field of acoustic ecology.
