For those in the San Francisco Bay Area, there will be an early evening pan=
el discussion of soundscape applications across a wide range of disciplines=
 featuring Walter Murch, Charles Amirkhanian and me on Friday, March 8th  h=

For those in the UK, I will be giving a presentation at a School of Sound, =

Finally, we are especially proud to announce that my new book, The Great An=
imal Orchestra: Finding the Origins of Music in the World's Wild Places, (L=
ittle Brown/Hachette) will be released March 12th in paperback throughout N=
orth America. This version will include embedded icons in the text indicati=
ng relevant sound examples accessible through the book's website. In additi=
on, the book will be released this year in French, German, Portuguese, Japa=
