Never experienced this. Swapping memory cards around? with the same card
and MS selected in the menu - when my D50 starts it doesnt ask which storag=

Only does that if its not recording or filling its pre-record buffer. If yo=
u
know the state of plug in power (off?) then just hit record before plugging=
 in
mic lead. The prompt is ignored in that case, since its already busy :)
