I have a Zoom H4n. According to Raimunds figures, it's input noise is
107 dBu. Not very good.
I will use it with a SSM system and the new preamp and compare it
with another SSM system which is plugged directly into the Sony D-50
(126 dBu) and compare.
That is what the new preamp is meant for, to liberate you from
choosing a certain recorder because of it's low input noise, but let
you choose any recorder that you like.
